Grant Application

To be eligible to apply, you must be able to answer "Yes" to each of the following statements:

• I am a full-time PK-12 teacher, curriculum specialist or leader, media specialist/librarian, or other eligible educator who spends at least 50% of my time directly teaching students.
• I will continue working as an eligible PK-12 educator during the following school year.
• By the end of the current school year, I will have at least three years of PreK-12 teaching experience.
• I have not received a Fund for Teachers grant within the past five years.

Applicant Acknowledgment

• I understand that Fund for Teachers grant proposals must be written by the applicant(s) and may not be written by school administrators or any other third party, including generative AI.

Does your proposed Fund for Teachers fellowship include any of the following?

• Student travel
• Completion of a bachelor's, master's, doctoral, or other degree program, including:
  • Courses for graduate credit
  • University coursework or credit hours*
• On-site or campus-based professional development provided at your school or by your district
• Compensation for substitute teachers
• A stipend or other form of personal compensation
• No learning experience: All fellowship funds will be used solely for classroom supplies, such as books, technology, or other materials

* University coursework: University-based courses and programs-including those that incorporate professional development travel or other learning experiences-may be eligible. However, Fund for Teachers fellowship funds may not be used to pay for credit hours that an applicant elects to apply toward completion of a degree; those costs are the responsibility of the Fellow. Credit hours that are required as part of an eligible program and cannot be waived may be permitted, provided they are not being used toward completion of a bachelor's degree.
